WinCC OA backgroundcolors in different windows themes

Post by frankySie »

A project is moved to different servers. The servers have configured different windows themes, that are windows xp class and windows 7.
But the colors look different.
As example see the attached pics, one pic is win-xp-classic theme, second pic is win7-std-theme
Image Image

pic1: buttonLook_win7.jpg
pic2: buttonLook_winxp_classic.jpg

In win7 theme the button's background color is not visible, just a small border shows the color. The background is somehow grey.
In win-xp-classic theme all styles, colors are shown as expected as they should be.

How a project can be moved but the colors become unchanged.(?)

update: both servers are identical installed with windows 7 prof, WinCC OA 3.11 sp1.

Hello,

this is a known problem when using Windows "Aero" styles.
You have to use the "Classic" style to see the fill-pattern of buttons.

Please also have a look at the following FAQ-entry

there is a good solution: the -style parameter. I wasn't aware of this.

The WCCOAui supports a parameter: -style

Values are: plastique, cleanlooks, motif, ... and more
See WinCC OA help file in section: Referencetabels - Manageroptions - WCCOAui

Example:
./WCCOAui.exe -p test.xml -menuBar -iconBar -style plastique

I noticed a similar problem when switching between "adjust for best performance and "adjust for best appearance" in Windows XP.
