Redundant controller data-point representation

Post by Piterskiy »

I have redundant controller with 2 sets of tags. Controllers have their own IP addresses and only one of them gives the data out on the same time when the other one has "nulls" at these moments. I have the sign which one is leading.

What can I do at WinCC OA?

1. Panels
What would be the most appropriate solution to my panels?

2. Archive
How could I organize ma data archiving to see the whole history of my 1 data which would be represent as 2 data-points?

Hello,

first of all we need to know which type of driver you are using for the connection to the controlliers. Also it is interesting to know which WinCC OA version and which operating system you are using.
Some of our drivers can handle redundant controlliers, then you do not have to configure the addresses twice on several dp-elements.

Hi

OPC Client

v3.12 Windows 7 Prof x64

2. I have another one question. I think it's bug.

I have master DP, so I set address (power config) and activate it. So I see at my OPC server log that this data point (master) try to call to OPC server to read "_mp_Analog:IN:U_arg" so that's strange because template shouldn't ask OPC server about data.
