Data type to hold 5,6 & 8 byte processed information

Post by amitgolhani »

Hello,

I am using some device which communicates on Modbus protocol and provides information of some parameter in 5 byte, 6 byte & 8 byte. Please suggest data type which I should use for holding 5,6 & 8 byte information in WinCC OA. Also I need to multiply these information with some scaling factor (message conversion) and then plot trends and create reports using this information.

Best Regards,
