Hello,
I'm looking for a way to configure redundant server without using the wizard to used it to create the configuration for the first server,
then using this configuration to create the second server.
I would like to know if it's enough to add event and data definitions in the config file (as $SERVER1:$SERVER2) or
if we need to import with ascci manager some internal datapoint (which ones?)
regards
Emmanuel

Re: configuring redundant server
Hello,
for the configuration of a redundant server you have to add the config-entries for data and event containing both hosts and their redundant network connections (if a redundant network is used). The hostnames and IP-addresses have to be defined in the hosts-file of the operating system.
You also have to add the redundancy manager to the manager list in the progs file.

Re: configuring redundant server
Thanks for you answers
Progs and config files are the only elements to be changed?
It's not necessary to import internal DP used for redundancy?

Re: configuring redundant server
Hello,
there is no need to import datapoints for a redundant project.
If you want to use a redundant project in the end you should start engineering with a redundant configuration, even if the second server is not running.
