Using minus sign in computer name

Hi,

About the restriction in computer names (in wincc oa help):
"The use of the minus sign in a computer name is forbidden!"

Could someone explain:
- What is the reason behind for this restriction
- And also, what kind of affect is there if a minus sign '-' is used in computer name (what could happen)
- Is this restriction for only some type of systems (for example if system is reduntant)

as far as I know this limitation does not exist anymore.
The documentation seems to be wrong in that special case.
