I tried to export a DPE, and I got the following message:
'Database not opened in multi user mode or WCCILdatabg not yet started'
I've waited quite some time before trying the ASCII export, to ensure I was trying to quickly after project start, but to no avail.
Is there a way to force start WCCILdatabg?
I've waited quite a while before trying the ASCII manager.
It will elapse the full 30 minute demo timer, and the WCCILdatabg still hasnt started in the log.

'WCCILdatabg not yet started'. This happens when you start the Ascii manager too soon. When you start a project, then first check the LogViewer and check that the databg manager is running. You'll see a message when the databg has been started.

Normally the databg should start 60 seconds (data config entry: waitTimeForBGStart) after the pmon gives the message "9/pmon, The project is up and running. Entering monitor mode". You should check if the pmon is in the monitoring mode.

Hello,
if you want to export data the ASCII manager does not establish a connection to the data- and event-manager. Exporting data with the ASCII manager also works when the project is not running.
When doing an ASCII import the ASCII manager stops when the import is finished.
As we cannot see the options you have been using when starting the ASCII manager we cannot detect what you wanted to do.

What options do you need to see to be able to assist?
It has always worked fine, we have upgraded to V3.14 and now it has stopped.

Hello,
we need to see the options you have defined for the ASCII manager, e.g. -proj, -in, -out ....
The log message (given above) only show the information that the manager was started.
Have you started the ASCII manager in a command shell or using the WinCC OA console?
Best Regards
