RAIMA Archive Problem

Post by paramesh1985 »

Image

We are having one requirement to archive 30000 values and 30000 events . We alredy created 10 archive class with 5000 dpe elements and 7000 values archive.

But we dont want to change the archive file on daily.

Here I have attached the one archive class screen shot ; the remaining archive class are the same.

Sometime we are getting the error "DPE not present in archive" ; while we are cross checking the value archive internal datapoint the error number is 132. After I will click Ok in the database management archive configuration panel the error getting disappeared. Please give some more details about this error.

As well as we configured the archive file change as "never".

Please give your valuable comments.

Hello,

the screenshots only show the "Special options" for the same archive 5 times.
Normally there is no need to modify these settings.

What is meant with "30000 values and 30000 events)?
Does it mean that you want to save values for 60000 dp elements?

In that case 10 archives with 5000 elements per archive will only allow to store 50000 dp elements.

Yes I want to archive 60000 dp elements.

But I dont want to change archive file on daily basis.

Is it not enough to archive 60000 dp elements under 10 archive class.

And it could be possible for automatic compression of archive file via some config entry.

Hello,

how often a file change is needed depends on the number of value changes and the number of possible entries in one archive file.
DPEs with a similar rate of value changes shall be saved in the same archive.

How many different archives you need depends on
-- the number of DPEs which shall be archived
-- the rate of value changes
-- the file switch interval

Without more details we cannot tell you what the best way is to configure the archives.
If you need more detailed information please get in contact with your common WinCC OA support.

The file compression can be configured in the configuration panels for the archives. There is no config entry available for it.
