I'm setting up a trend, where the user can set the amount of time they desire to see, 30sec span or 1 min span. That will continue to update and scroll across the screen, no jumps like interval does.
Essentially I've created a combo box that allows them to pick a desired time, and a button that looks at that value. On-click, it will go to the last 30-seconds, and continue to scroll as the live value comes in.

I cannot see a problem description in your posting.
Can you please describe in detail what the problem is.
It would also be interesting to know which WinCC OA version you are using.
